Terms of use
Paidbytap is run by the operator of Paidbytap.
1. What Paidbytap does
Paidbytap is software that shows a business's menu and lets its customers pay in cryptocurrency. It works out the amount to pay, shows the business's receiving address, and watches the public blockchain to confirm the payment.
2. Where the money goes
Customers pay straight to the business's own wallet. Paidbytap never holds, receives or controls that money and never has access to anyone's private keys. When a business's plan has a fee, the payment goes to that business's own split address (made with 0xSplits), which can only pass the agreed fee to Paidbytap and the rest to the business. Nobody can change or hold that money.
3. For customers
- Check the amount, coin and network before you send. Send the exact amount shown, on the network shown. Coins sent on a different network or to a different address can't be recovered.
- Blockchain payments can't be reversed. Refunds and complaints about an order are handled by the business.
- Network fees are paid by you, the sender, through your own wallet.
- Prices are set in euro and turned into a coin amount at the current rate when you open the payment screen.
4. For businesses
- You are responsible for your wallet address being correct and for keeping your wallet safe. Never share your seed phrase or private key with anyone, including us.
- You are responsible for your menu, prices, the goods you sell, refunds, and your own taxes and bookkeeping.
- Fees are the ones of the plan you chose when signing up: a one-time setup fee and, if your plan has one, a percentage of each sale. Plans taken with a lifetime offer keep their 0% per sale for as long as your shop exists.
- The setup fee is paid once your shop is approved. It isn't refunded once your tags have been set up.
- You can stop using Paidbytap at any time. We may pause a shop that breaks these terms or the law.
5. Availability and liability
We work to keep Paidbytap running, but it relies on outside services (hosting, blockchains, price feeds) and may sometimes be slow or unavailable. Paidbytap is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost payments caused by a wrong address, network or amount, for blockchain delays, or for changes in coin prices.
6. Changes
We may update these terms. Businesses are told about important changes before they apply. The laws of the operator's country apply.
